A rather average day to end the week in Gaborone as Letshego (1.3m shares) completely dominated proceedings as total turnover amounted to $345k.
Another frustrating day in Nairobi as locals once again dominated proceedings with turnover amounting to $5.0m. Activity was evenly spread in KenolKobil as the counter gained +2.0% on 8.54m shares. Foreigners dominated both sides in Safcom as the telco closed unchanged at KES14.55 on 5.47m shares. EQBNK came under some pressure on foreign selling as the name closed -0.9% lower while banking counterpart KNCB was extremely quiet as only 266k shares traded.
NMH took center stage today (62% of Total Market Turnover), as the counter registered several crosses during the session. The hotelier traded a total of 1.19m shares, closing at Rs68.00. The regular movers, MCBG and SBM, traded 43k and 7.3m shares, to close at Rs197.50 and Rs1.01 respectively.
Another day dominated by a few block trades as turnover amounted to $25m with some action in ETI ($5.89m), NB ($4.88m) and Zenith ($3.27m). Banks came under pressure with the sector falling -3.36% as Zenith (-7.95%), GTB (-4.11%) and UBA (-2.29%) dragged the sector lower. Consumers (-1.02%) were also under pressure thanks to Flour Mills (-5.26%), Cadbury (-3.11%) and Unilever (-1.96%).

A promising end to the week in Harare, as Delta and Econet lead the proceedings, together they accounted for 97% of total turnover, with Delta closing the week off at 116c on the back of 1.09m shares traded. Econet traded 1.3m shares to close at 54.11c. Other trading heavyweights such as Innscor and Ok Zim, barely made an impact today, after registering zero and 1.2k shares respectively.
