Another rather slow day in Gaborone as turnover amounted to $275k with most on the action coming from FNBB (503k shares).
A much better day from an activity point of view in Nairobi as we saw an increase in foreign purchases (65.61% of total purchases) with total turnover amounting to $10.3m. KNCB came under some foreign selling pressure with the name falling -0.8% on 4.33m shares. Foreigners completely dominated purchases in Safcom as the telco closed the day flat on 11.68m shares. Foreigners dominated both sides of Diamond Trust Bank as 411k shares traded in the usually illiquid counter. EABL managed to gain +2.2% on foreign demand with 131k shares changing hands in the brewer.
A solid day from a turnover point of view in Port Louis as turnover amounted to $2.03m with all the action centered around MCBG (154k shares) and SBMH (21.51m shares) with MCBG falling -0.1% while SBMH gained +1.0%.
Large crosses in the likes of NB ($5.19m) and GTB ($5.11m) dominatde proceedings on an otherwise dull day as total turnover amounted to $20.7m. There was also some activity in FBNH ($2.49m) and Access ($1.46m). Banks continued to fall with the sector closing -1.37% lower thanks to GTB (-4.98%) and UBA (-2.15%). Consumers (-1.00%) were also weaker thanks to IntBrew (-4.99%) and NB (-2.02%).

A lack luster day in Harare as turnover amounted to a very dull $698k with some activity in ECO ($500k) the only name worth mentioning while the market closed the day higher with the Industrial Index gaining +0.22%.
