Nothing to report from Gaborone as turnover amounted to a paltry $31k.
A very active day to start ther week in Nairobi as turnover amounted to $13.1m with locals dominating proceedings ever so slightly. KNCB (-0.8%) came under pressure from foreign sellers as 6.21m shares traded in the counter while EQBNK closed the day unchanged as foreigners also dominated sales in the name. Foreigners dominated both sides of EABL as 500k shares traded with the brewer falling -1.7%. Safcom closed the day higher on the back of local demand as the telco gained +0.7%.
MCBG closed the day higher at Rs205 (+1%) while SMB fell back down to Rs1.00. Other movers included POLI which gained a massive 17.3% to close the session off at Rs7.20 as well as CIM which closed at a new time high of Rs9.50. Amongst the Laggers there was NMH and OMNI which closed at Rs67.75(-0.4%) and Rs77.75(-0.3%) respectively.
A dull start to the week in Lagos as turnover amounted to $15m with some activity in GTB ($3.34m), UACN ($2.51m) and Access ($1.35m) the only names worth mentioning. Banks had a solid start to the week with the sector gaining +2.97% thanks to Access (+8.75%), UBA (+5.57%) and Zenith (+4.95%). Consumers (+1.59%) were also stronger thanks to Flour Mills (+8.01%), UACN (+5.00%) and NB (+3.19%).

The Industrial index closed the day on a high note, buoyed by trades in Delta and Hippo. Delta closed the day at 116c (+0.46%) as the counter traded a total of 416k shares. Hippo closed at 50c on the back of 200k shares traded. The rest of the market saw thin volumes going through.
