Letshego (unch, 189t) traded only 8.5k shares after reporting net interest income up +11% YoY for 2017 full year results. The rest of the market also traded very thin volumes.
The market closed down on the day, as foreign participation declined from 45% to 22%. A block trade in KNOC dominated the action on the day, accounting for 55% of total market turnover.
Another below par day in Port Louis with Alteo MCBG and NMH driving the market altogether accounting for 25% of total market turnover. Alteo unmoved trading at Rs29.00 while MCBG followed suit trading flat at Rs276.50. The only other tickers to note were NMH (unch, Rs25.00), Grit (unch, Rs1.45) and CIM (-1.4%, Rs10.45).
It was a positive start to the week, as all indices closed higher on the day, the Oil & Gas index led the gains, closing 4.81% higher. Guaranty dominated the action on the day, accounting for approximately 40% of turnover.

Not a bad day to start off the off the week in Harare as the industrial index dipped to 1.84 points and the mining index closed flat with no activity in the sector. Amalgamated Regional Trading 4.50c, $1.1m) was the major contributor accounting for 45% of turnover, while the likes of Barclays (5.05c, $606k) took up 24% of volume. The only other names worth mentioning were Delta (156.00c, $198k), Old Mutual (540.00c, $172k) and Hippo Valley (170.00c, $170k) with the rest of the market extremely quiet.
