Another quiet day in Gaborone, BCBB accounted for 83% of turnover.
It was another positive day in Kenya as local participation slightly outweighed the foreign participation (which was 48% on the day). Crosses in KNCB accounted for 55% of turnover, while Safcom and Equity Bank accounted for 15% and 11% respectively.
The upward trend continued in Port Louis with Rs82m exchanging hands. MCBG (+0.4%, Rs277.50) accounted for 63% of today’s turnover. Other counters contributing to the activity were SBMH (+0.3%, Rs7.62), CIM (unch, Rs10.50) and Ciel (unch, Rs7.50) while the rest of the exchange was soft.
The market recovered from the previous day’s negative session. Zenithbank once again was the most active name, accounting for 36% of total market turnover, while its share price declined by 1.77% as it got sold down into the close.

The Harare bourse traded marginally higher today as major gains were posted in Delta ($187k).The main movers on the day were Econet accounting for 31% of total market turnover sitting at $370k, Old Mutual trading $293k a modest 25% of total volume and Seedco with $98k while the rest of the market was quite.
