Another very dull day in Gaborone today.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.24%, USD 6.81m

It was another negative close in Kenya as turnover declined, while foreign participation barely changed. Equity Bank and Safcom were the most active names, accounting for 45% of turnover.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.04%, USD 770k

The Mauritius bourse saw most major indices close the session in negative territory with the Semdex retreating to 2,286.26 points as total turnover was a poultry Rs25.3m for the day. MCBG advanced 0.3% closing at Rs276.75, Innodis up 0.3% trading at 43.70 and SBMH following suit gaining 0.3% as well at Rs7.68 accounting for a united 60% of the market, Lux Island Resorts unchanged trading at Rs70.00 and Gamma Civic also unmoved at Rs38.00 were the only names with some sort of notable activity.

Nigeria: ASI -0.51%, USD 11.5m

The market closed lower as turnover also declined. The only sector that closed higher was the Industrials, while the Oil & Gas (2.68%) sector declined the most on the day. Zenithbank dominated the action, accounting for 43% of turnover.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.05%, USD 4.26m

A chunky and bullish trade in Old Mutual ($3.2m) drove the market today on the Harare bourse. The counter advanced slightly trading at 560.00c and accounted for 76% of today’s turnover while the only names with decent volume were TSL($195k) at 40.00c and Econet ($235k) sitting at 67.00c.
