A better day in Gaborone thanks to some action in Engen as 500k shares traded in the name while the rest of the market was very quiet.
A very quiet day in Nairobi with turnover amounting to a dull $3.6m as foreigners continue to dominate proceedings. The two major banks drove proceedings today with foreign demand pushing EQBNK and KNCB +2.7% and +0.1% higher respectively. There was a small bit of activity in EABL as 177k shares changed hands in the brewer while safcom was very quiet with 2.91m shares traded on the day.
Another decent day in Port Louis with total value traded amounting to $1.40m thanks to some crosses in MCBG (103k shares), while SBMH (3.8m shares) and NMH (193k shares) were very quiet.
A much better day in Lagos from an activity point of view with turnover amounting to a very impressive $37.4m while the market continued to rally. There were a few large crosses in the likes of Access ($13m), Zenith ($8.11m), GTB ($5.02m) and UACN ($1.60m). Banks had another solid day with the sector gaining +2.77% thanks to strong moves in GTB (+6.89%), Access (+3.11%) and FBNH (+1.47%). Consumers (+2.14%) also closed higher with PZ Cussons (+10.19%), Unilever (+5.00%) and NB (+4.20%) amongst the best performers.

A much better day in Harare as turnover amounted to $2.9m thanks to some solid action in Delta ($1.44m), Innscor ($677k) and Econet ($525k).
