Movers & Shakers: September 21, 2015

Botswana: DCI -0.02%, USD 360k

Nothing to report from Gaborone barring some small crosses in Letshego (306t).

Kenya: NSE 20 +0.10%, USD 2.08m

Last week we saw an incredibly muted week in Kenya but today it is the quietest of all as a lack of interest from both foreign and local participants persists. There was nothing exciting to note.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.11%, USD 470k

A painfully dull day in Port Louis with only some mild activity in MCBG (unch, Rs209.00) going through.

Nigeria: ASI -0.22%, USD 7.34m

We thought the Lagos bourse has reached new depths in terms of a complete lack of interest. But then today arrived. The market just never wanted to get going in any shape or form with all names lacking any semblance of conviction. The only names to see any activity whatsoever were Zenith (+6bps, N18.11) and GTB (-20bps, N24.50).

Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.16%, USD 822k

With most markets incredibly dull today it was actually pleasing seeing some volumes in Harare. However, the bulk of this took place in the little known Fidelity Life.
