Absolutely nothing to report on from Gaborone.
It was almost not worth opening the market today as virtually nothing happened. The only small activity we saw took place in KNCB, EqBnk and Safcom although nothing of any specific interest to note.
A dull end to the week in Port Louis with NMH (unch, Rs18.50) the major mover today. MCBG and SBMH were both unchanged at Rs210 and Rs0.85 respectively.
A woeful end to a woeful week in Nigeria with absolutely no interest in the market. Banks did gain 92bps today with only GTB (unch, N23.00) seeing any reasonable action. The consumers rose by 2.05% thanks to a couple of late crosses in Nestle (unch, N820.00) and NB (+3.04%, N127.77). The rest of the market was dead.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
The highlight of today’s session was a cross in Dairibord (local buyer, foreign seller) at 8.32c while the rest of the market remains woefully quiet.
