Nothing overly exciting today in Port Louis. MCBG rose by 40bps to Rs209.00.
Not a bad day from an activity point of view with some action in Zenith ($3.8m), NB ($3.6m), GTB ($2.4m) and Seplat ($2.4m) while there was also an off-market cross of 16.2m ETI at 19.43 which was well above limit up in the name for the day. Banking stocks took some serious strain today with the sector falling -6.86% thanks to GTB (-9.63%) and Zenith (-9.21%). Consumers (-2.86%) were also weaker thanks to NB (-4.96%) while Cadbury managed to close +9.02% higher after releasing results.

Some trading in Econet (23c) and Innscor (20.25c) were the only stocks that saw any activity today. Econet closed +1.10% higher after releasing FY 2016 results yesterday after the session.
