Apart from some small activity in Letshego (416k shares) things were rather slow in Gaborone.
Activity returned to the NSE in a pleasing way with foreign participants heavily involved. There were a number of chunky crosses in all 4 large cap names although performance was mixed in these. Gainers were Equity Bank (+60bps, KES39.75) and EABL (+1.7%, KES296). KNCB fell by 1.3% to KES 38.25 while Safcom ended the day unchanged at KES17.00.
A better day in Port Louis thanks to some action in MCBG as 126k shares changed hands in the name while there was sporadic activity in a few other names.
The Lagos bourse finally found some buyers with both the banks (+52bps) and consumers (+1.46%) closing in the green. However, the market was extremely dull outside of the odd cross. The bulk of the action went through in UBA (-23bps, N4.29), Seplat (-2.74%, N350.15) and Nestle (-3.78%, N755).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A small bit of activity in Delta ($194k) the only name worth mentioning on a very quiet day in Harare.
