A small bit of activity in Afinitas (1.6m shares) the only name worth mentioning on another dull day in Gaborone.
Another quiet day from an activity point of view as local investors remain absent for the large part. Profit taking continued in Safcom with the telco falling -0.9% on 9m shares. Foreign selling pressure continues to push KNCB (-0.7%) lower while EQBNK closed -1.95% lower on tiny volume. Foreign demand drove EABL higher as the brewer gained +2.1% on very small volume of 96k shares.
Another relatively uninspiring day in Port Louis. The main activity went through in the 2 banks with MCBG falling by 50bps to Rs211.00 while SBMH ended the session unchanged on Rs0.64.
It was a rather dull day in Lagos with crosses in GTB ($3.4m) and Nestle ($2m) being the highlights of the day. There was also some small activity in DangCem ($1.4m) and Zenith ($1.4m). Banking stocks came under pressure again today with the sector falling -1.61% with losses in GTB (-2.96%) and Zenith (-1.94%). Consumers (-1.65%) also closed lower with pressure on Guinness (-3.18%) and NB (-2.78%) while Nestle (-0.59%) was also weaker.
